Aerial Yoga expands the Yoga experience. Aerial yoga utilizes a silky hammock suspended from the ceiling that allows students to find their flow while floating in mid-air and performing Yoga postures that they may not ordinarily be able to attempt in Traditional Yoga. It expands traditional Yoga with moves inspired by pilates, dance and acrobatics. It offers additional benefits and enjoyments.
A full body yoga work-out catered to any individual shape or age, this class uses an aerial hammock in various ways including suspensions, inversions, core balance and floor assisted yoga postures.
This unique class is centered to work on body extremities and core to develop strength, flexibility, motor dynamics, spinal alignment, endurance, reflex sharpness, balance and somatic perceptions.

Is Aerial Yoga Safe?
If you are only suspended three or so feet from the ground as in Aerial Yoga, the risk of injuring yourself from falling is quite minimal. The student is responsible to follow the instruction of the teacher.
Most people can engage in aerial yoga with few to no problems. However, if any of the following apply to you, you should consider a different form of exercise or — at the very least — consult with your doctor and yoga instructor before trying an aerial class:
